James R. Hepworth teaches writing and literature courses at Lewis-Clark State College. His essays, articles, interviews, poems, and reviews
have appeared in Outside Magazine, Writer’s Digest, The
Paris Review, The Bloomsbury Review as well as dozens of little magazines and daily newspapers including High Country News, The Oregonian,
The Idaho Statesman, and The Lewiston Morning Tribune. Hepworth's books include Resist Much, Obey Little: Notes on Edward Abbey (with Greg McNamee), The Stories that Shape Us (with Teresa Jordan), and Stealing Glances:Three Interviews with Wallace Stegner. Books published under Hepworth's imprint at Confluence Press have won two Idaho Book Awards, two awards from the Pacific Northwest Booksellers, and four Western States Book Awards.
